Evidence Based. Trauma Informed. Compassionate. Joyful.
Hello! I’m Shannen Itterley — a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, wife, mother of seven, and longtime foster and adoptive parent.
My life at home and my work in the field have shown me just how deeply children thrive when they are met with compassion, predictability, connection, and trauma-informed support. I understand firsthand the need for positive, practical behavior strategies that create a peaceful, joyful environment for the whole family.
Over the years, I found myself walking alongside caregivers, educators, and children who needed something more than traditional behavior support. They needed an approach rooted in safety, dignity, relationship, and evidence-based practice.
That is why I created Cedar & Stream Behavior Consulting — a space where families and schools can access trauma-informed, collaborative, and caring support.
My Approach
I specialize in trauma-informed behavior response and bring advanced training in Ukeru® and Safety-Care® practices. My work blends the science of behavior analysis with an understanding of attachment, nervous system regulation, family dynamics, and child development.
I believe behavior support must address the whole family system, not just the child. My goal is to help you build routines, systems, and skills that reduce stress, strengthen connection, and support success for everyone.
